Google Analytics 4

Traffic на всяка Google Analytics 4 property.

What you get

Before you start

  • Editor или Administrator на property (add user).
  • Google Cloud project за service account. Free Google account OK.

Service account = software Google account. Viewer на property; Metribay sign-in as it. Reuse за properties и Search Console.

Step 1: Create a service account

  1. Google Cloud console — project или нов „Metribay“.

  2. APIs & Services → Library — enable Google Analytics Data API и Google Analytics Admin API.

  3. IAM & Admin → Service Accounts → Create service account, напр. metribay-reader. Skip project roles → Done.

  4. Service account → Keys → Add key → Create new key → JSON. Download — пази го.

  5. Copy email (…iam.gserviceaccount.com).

Step 2: Give it access to your property

  1. Google Analytics → Admin.

  2. Property → Property access management (или Account access management за всички properties).

  3. + → Add users, paste service account email, Viewer. Untick email notification OK.

  4. Add.

Step 3: Connect it in Metribay

Section titled “Step 3: Connect it in Metribay”

  1. Project page → Add data source → Google Analytics 4.

  2. Connect an account with your own credentials → paste whole JSON в Service account JSON.

  3. Save account and continue — key check.

  4. Property от list. Reporting timezone auto.

  5. Add and start import.

Delete local JSON after — Metribay keeps encrypted copy.

Enter the property by hand

Section titled “Enter the property by hand”

Enter it manually:

  • Property ID: number under Admin → Property details, напр. 412345678. Not G- measurement ID.
  • Property reporting timezone: Admin → Property details — must match.

Advanced: OAuth refresh token

Section titled “Advanced: OAuth refresh token”

Use OAuth credentials instead: Client Id, Client Secret, Refresh Token with analytics.readonly. Empty Service account JSON. Only if you manage OAuth app.

If collection fails

Section titled “If collection fails”

Property isn’t listed. Not added to property or Admin API off. Step 2, wait, Refresh list.

Needs attention after success. Access removed or key deleted. Re-add or new key → update connected account.

Sampled/thresholded data. Metribay won’t store estimates. Admin → Reporting identity → Device-based often fixes.
