UptimeRobot

See at a glance whether your sites are up, next to how they’re doing.

Metric Meaning
Monitor status Up, Seems down, Down, Paused or Not checked yet
Uptime · last 24h Share of the last 24 hours the monitor was up
Response time · last 24h Average response time over the last 24 hours, in milliseconds

All three describe the current state, so each card shows the latest observation and when it was taken. Metribay checks every hour, more often than other sources.

Response time isn’t available for heartbeat monitors.

  1. Sign in to UptimeRobot.

  2. Open Integrations & API, then the API section.

  3. Create or copy the Read-only API key.

A read-only key can see all your monitors and change none of them. That’s all Metribay needs.

If you only want to share one monitor, create a monitor-specific API key for it instead. Metribay will then only see that monitor.

  1. Select Add source and choose UptimeRobot.

  2. Open Use your own credentials and paste the key into Api Key.

  3. Choose a monitor from the list.

  4. Pick a project and select Connect and start import.

Open Enter a resource manually and type the Monitor ID. It’s the number at the end of the monitor’s address in the UptimeRobot dashboard.

  • The history window doesn’t apply. Uptime is a snapshot, so the setting has no effect for this source.
  • Request limits. UptimeRobot limits how many API requests each key may make, especially on free plans. Metribay spreads requests for all monitors on the same key. If the limit is reached, the next hourly check simply tries again.
  • Monitor status on the overview reflects the last check, up to an hour old. For instant alerts, keep using UptimeRobot’s own notifications.
