Workspaces
A workspace holds everything for one business, client or portfolio: projects, saved accounts, metric history and team members. Nothing is shared between workspaces, so a client only ever sees their own data.
Your first workspace
Section titled “Your first workspace”Metribay creates a workspace for you when you sign up. If one workspace is all you need, you can ignore this page.
When to use more than one
Section titled “When to use more than one”- Agencies and freelancers: one workspace per client, each with its own team. Invite the client as a viewer.
- Separate businesses: keep a side project apart from your company’s projects.
- Different teams: give each team only the projects it works on.
If you just want to organise your own projects, one workspace is usually enough.
Create a workspace
Section titled “Create a workspace”- Open the account menu (your initial, top right) and choose Workspaces.
- Select New workspace.
- Enter a Workspace name and select Create workspace.
You can own up to five workspaces. Workspaces other people invite you to don’t count towards that.
Switch between workspaces
Section titled “Switch between workspaces”Select the workspace name in the header to open the switcher, or go to Workspaces in the account menu and pick one. Overview, Settings and Team always show the current workspace.
Rename a workspace
Section titled “Rename a workspace”Go to Settings → Workspace, change the Workspace name and select Save name. Only owners can rename a workspace.
What belongs to a workspace
Section titled “What belongs to a workspace”| Belongs to the workspace | Belongs to you |
|---|---|
| Projects and sources | Your name, email and password |
| Saved accounts | Two-factor authentication |
| Metric history and annotations | Your subscription and billing |
| Team members and invitations | Appearance preferences (per device) |
Saved accounts can’t be shared across workspaces. If two workspaces read from the same Google service account, add it to each.
Billing across workspaces
Section titled “Billing across workspaces”One subscription covers every workspace you own. Your plan limits, like 10 active projects, count across all of them. See Plans and billing.
